ICONS in FOCUS
SRIRANGARM, SANTINIKETAN
We are thrilled to welcome Satyaki Ghosh to the Bengal Biennale family with his exhibition, “Icons In Focus”, showcasing from 29th November to 22nd December 2024 at Srirangam, Santiniketan.
His father, Nemai Ghosh was a celebrated photographer whose lens captured the cultural pulse of Bengal and India for over five decades. His legacy lies not only in his ability to capture the soul of an era but in his deep connection with the legends of Indian art and culture. Satyaki, whose work beautifully bridges tradition and innovation, is a dynamic artist who continues to push boundaries in his artistic expressions. His approach to photography and multimedia art reflects a fresh perspective while staying deeply rooted in the cultural essence of his father’s legacy.
“Icons In Focus” is not just an exhibition, it’s an intimate journey through time. It’s a celebration of the figures who have shaped Bengal’s cultural landscape, viewed through the lens of one of India’s most celebrated photographers, and brought into dialogue with the contemporary visions of the next generation. Through this exhibition, we invite you to step into the world of icons—those who have left an indelible mark on art, cinema, literature, and beyond.
Join us in celebrating this extraordinary convergence of legacy and modernity. Save the date and experience an unforgettable tribute to the icons who continue to inspire.
